CARRÉ, a leading French company in mechanical weed control, is offering a wide-width version of its KLINEA grain weeder with electrically-controlled weeder elements.
The high-precision KLINEA weeder is available either in combination with the PRECICAM guidance interface for greater versatility, or with direct integration of the KIPLINE camera guidance system for even greater compactness.
At Agritechnica, a 2x6m wide version of KLINEA will be presented with a dual KIPLINE camera guidance interface, enabling 2 passes of a 6m seed drill in 24 rows at 25cm, giving a total working width of 12m.
A single monitor is needed to manage the 2 KIPLINE camera guidance systems, which control the 2 hoes individually.
KLINEA‘s parallelogram-mounted hoeing unit is fitted with 1 to 3 tines, depending on the desired configuration, and features laterally rigid tines to prevent the share from deviating, thus guaranteeing optimum precision. The lateral rigidity of the tines also makes the associated guidance system highly responsive.
CARRÉ tines and shares are designed to ensure that the surface of the soil is scalped at a constant depth, thanks to individual control of each element. This adjustment is made simply and effortlessly from the tractor cab via a control monitor. An electric actuator directly controls the depth wheel of the hoeing unit.
In addition, an innovative joint system supporting the tines incorporates a non-stop spring safety system in the event of impact. It also enables rapid, precise adjustment of the share inclination using an electric actuator controlled from the control monitor.
The operator can therefore precisely adjust the depth of the shares and the angle of penetration without getting out of the tractor. These parameters can be changed instantly and repeated as often as necessary to adapt to different areas of the plot.
As standard, KLINEA includes a double row of combs at the rear of the hoeing element for a perfect finish and to ensure that the roots of weeds are exposed on the soil surface.
As an option, KLINEA provides full weed control thanks to hydraulic lifting of the elements with ISOBUS GPS control for automatic management of headlands.
Dual KIPLINE cameras are also available to provide guidance over 2 detection zones.
The KLINEA range is currently available in single weeder versions of 3m, 4m, 6m and 8m.
The 2x3m, 2x4m and 2x6m double weeder versions with controlled elements will be available from July 2024.
