The URASI precision scalper ideal for shallow stubble ploughing
The AGRITECHNICA show will be the opportunity for CARRE to unveil its new URASI precision scalper.
URASI is the latest addition to CARRÉ’s extensive range of stubble cultivation tools, which already includes the CULTI 4000, ONATAR NEO, XENOS HD and PENTERRA.
URASI fits in perfectly with the strategy of regenerative agriculture and soil conservation. In addition to reducing or even eliminating the use of plant protection products, the URASI scalper’s precise surface cultivation reduces soil erosion and encourages mineralisation by increasing the production of organic matter.
The 4 rows of tines and large undercarriage clearance give the URASI scalper unrivalled flow, with no risk of clogging. It leaves the soil perfectly worked and level, encouraging the decomposition of crop residues.
CARRÉ has opted to fit an 80x12mm tine with a counter spring to ensure that the working depth of the share is even and to limit the effect of tamping.
The 250mm triangular shares with flat profile ensure efficient surface scalping. With a 170mm pitch, the cutting zone is 80mm, which guarantees stubble ploughing of the entire worked width even after the share has worn out.
For optimum contour following, working depth control is managed entirely by the front and rear depth wheels, with a floating link at the 3rd point. As a result, the machine remains stable and the working depth remains constant even at high speed. The working depth range of the tines can be adjusted from 2 to 8 cm at an average speed of 12 km/h.
Levellers at the rear of the last row of tines and a pair of deflectors to prevent lateral projections ensure a uniform surface profile.
Stubble and weed destruction is optimised by the triple row of Ø13mm combs at the rear, which can be adjusted in angle and pressure to suit all situations.
Operating comfort is enhanced by independent hydraulic adjustment of the front and rear wheels, as well as the comb harrow. Settings can be changed instantly and effortlessly from the in-cab control box.
